Lectio Divina is an ancient practice, a contemplative way to read Scripture. It is not Bible study, but rather a time to slow down and dwell in the Word of God, not in an academic way, but rather with our hearts. We come to the Scripture to encounter the Living God, the Word made flesh, who speaks to us in all kinds of ways through Scripture. Lectio Divina is not about finding theological or doctrinal truths, but rather it is about listening to what God is saying to us personally through the text, and then taking that back into our everyday lives. There are no right or wrong answers. Each week we will dwell with the Gospel text for the upcoming Sunday. Our first evening will be Tuesday, October 1 from 7 – 8 p.m. You are welcome to come to as few or as many as you like. The upcoming dates are: October 8, 15, 22, November 12, 19, December 3, 10, 17.
