Pastor Stewart Miller has newly come to serve with us at Bread of Life (Sept 2017). After a series of quick moves through various small towns in northern Saskatchewan, Stewart’s family moved to Regina for his Elementary & High School years. (So this is kind of a “homecoming”.) He then attended University Of Winnipeg, University of Saskatchewan & finally the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon. He was ordained in 1987 and served in his first call (’87-90) with Concordia Lutheran Church in Churchbridge, SK. His 2nd call ( Aug 1990) moved him to join the people of Trinity in their ministry in Estevan for the first time. In 1999 he then received and accepted a call to Hope Lutheran Church in Calgary, AB - where he served for 12 years.. until the people of Trinity Estevan invited him to again make Estevan his home and once more join them (Sept 2011). Six years came and went until summer of 2017 when Bread of Life extended their invitation to come and be with us here.
Pastor Stewart is committed to a ministry that builds a caring community where people can find the love of Christ in each other and serve as Christ’s to each other. In 2013 (and again in 2016) he hiked the Camino De Santiago De Compostela (an 800 km pilgrimage across northern Spain). As a result of that profound experience Pastor Stewart has found himself recommitted to being connected to the community and to striving to be open to all the people he meets on his “camino” through the world.
In his personal time Stewart is an avid sports fan, woodworker, golfer, curler, singer and musician.
If you would to meet or make an appointment with Pastor Stewart call or email him. Better yet join us for worship and meet him there!
